What you will be doing...
• Supervise, train, backup and provide support for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Invoice Reconciliation
• Oversee and ensure that the daily closing, reconciliation, and cash requirements process are completed
• Prepare and post month-end adjusting entries for Month-end Close
• Prepare Alcohol Excise Tax Reports
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts monthly as well as reconcile all intercompany transactions
• Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of all monthly, quarterly and year-end financial information/reporting
• Supervise workflow of accounting staff.
• Ensure compliance with corporate-wide accounting procedures and policies
• Recommend process improvement to improve accuracy
• Partner with other departments to resolve accounting issues as needed
• Work with IT on all computer related issues for the department
• Plan for staffing needs and interview prospective employees and conduct employee performance appraisals
• Work with internal and external accountants on year-end close
• Compile annual accounting department budget and perform monthly actual to budget variance analysis
• Other duties as assigned
• Assist in coordinating the onboarding of new suppliers and brands from an administrative perspective
• Act as back up for payroll processor

What we are looking for...
• Bachelor's degree, preferably with accounting emphasis
• 5+ years proven accounting experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in EXCEL
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven Management experience
• Self-sufficient, entrepreneurial and independent thinking
• Comfortable problem solving and consulting experience
