Sales Manager

Develop a strategic business plan to expand market share within the division, targeting customers with potential sales of over $0.5m annually. Responsible for generating new account revenue to meet or exceed set targets and quotas. Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to focus on acquiring new high potential accounts, sales revenue, and gross profit. Source, secure, and develop new business opportunities, maintaining a pipeline of high potential clients. Research customer needs, market trends, and competitor products to provide valuable insights and product recommendations. Collaborate with specialists to create compelling offerings for prospective clients. Complete new customer credit applications and facilitate a smooth transition of new accounts to Territory Managers. Utilize company IT tools to identify opportunities, update progress, and maintain a lead generation database. Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers, leveraging industry contacts to pursue business opportunities. Participate in industry events and share expertise with Territory Managers. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Training:

High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Related Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience opening accounts greater than $0.5m, preferably in foodservice industry
  • Exceptional sales and interpersonal skills required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Able to present in front of large groups
  • Highly motivated and results-driven
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
