Summary
Our company is looking for a Business Development Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and negotiating contracts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proven track record of success in sales and business development, and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Analyze market trends and customer needs to develop strategies for growth.
• Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to increase revenue.
• Manage the sales process from lead generation to close.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts with customers and vendors.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and other documents.
• Manage the day-to-day operations which include tracking quotes, entering orders, scheduling lead- times, and ensuring export requirements are met.
• Attend industry trade shows to expand customer base and to build strong customer relationships.
Qualifications / Experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 – 7 years’ experience working in a sales environment
• 3 – 5 years’ experience managing sales proce4sses and/or sales team
• Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as salesforce.com for tracking of customer opportunities, quotes, wins, losses.
• Knowledge of social media platforms (Linked In, Facebook, etc.) is preferred.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
• Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Travel Requirements:
Travel required, up to 30%
