COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose: Sanctuary Recovery Centers aspires to outline specific job functions and roles to eliminate ambiguity within the organization.

Position Summary:

The Compliance Coordinator position is responsible for overseeing Sanctuary's compliance with government laws and regulations. Their duties include coordinating with company management to identify potential risks, implementing policies and procedures to uphold laws and regulations and monitoring the company's adherence to those policies and procedures. This role is responsible for promoting and maintaining open communication and contribute to an environment of trust and mutual respect. You will contribute to a culture of performance, teamwork, collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement, including licensure and accreditation compliance. Reports to Owner/CEO.

Position Qualifications:

This position requires the employee meets the criteria to be credentialed and privileged to conduct assessments as a qualified assessor. This is a supervisory position requiring more education and experience therefore, a person must have one of the following combinations of education, license, and behavioral health work experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in related field

  • 1-3 years of experience of supervisor experience in related field

  • Proven leadership skills

  • Working knowledge of compliance issues

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities

  • Familiarity with computer and necessary software

  • Detail-oriented and well-organized

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to foster strong relationships

  • Proven understanding of risk assessment and mitigation

  • Research and reporting skills

  • Strong statistical analysis skills


Position Duties:

  • Create and put into action compliance and safety initiatives and strategies that are in line with the overall business plan

  • Collect, evaluate, write, and submit data and reports for regulatory bodies

  • Assist with data gathering and analysis for legal purposes

  • Coordinate document requests, procedure changes, and other quality projects

  • Develop internal company policies and ensure all employees are in accordance

  • Ensure all Sanctuary staff and each facility has clearly defined processes for complying with state and federal laws

  • Consistently communicating updated information concerning the organization's compliance with laws and regulations

  • Taking necessary actions in dealing with noncompliance situations, creating realistic plans to overcome them

  • Conduct regular audits to identify potential weaknesses and noncompliance situations.
