Duties, Responsibilities & Other KCi Technologies is hiring a Sr. Electrical Project Engineer to join our MEP practice. Qualified candidates will have 6+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in MEP Building Systems profession. Responsible for working independently to develop electrical design drawings for building systems, including creating a one-line diagram, load analysis, panel schedules, and researching product data sheets for various equipment. Selecting/specifying electrical equipment like switchboards, panels, transformers, and lighting controls. Answering questions about design during the construction process to provide guidance and information to architects and contractors. Communicating professionally with clients and other engineers. PE License is required. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Appropriate graduate level work. Master's degree preferred. 6 - 10 years of professional experience. PE Required. Experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring projects involving both overhead and underground engineering systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position. Performance Expectations Submit for approval and deliver timely annual Employee Performance Appraisals for assigned staff. Train adequate backup personnel to support your role in your absence. Comply with all KCI policies and procedures. Ensure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements. Manage work routine of all assigned staff and assign job activities as required. Complete other duties as required/assigned. Achieve or exceed budgeted individual utilization target (75%-80% typical). Attend bi-weekly (or more frequently as necessary) meetings with project team on all projects/tasks. Chart and provide task performance results. Complete all tasks on time and within budget while fully meeting the scope. Consult and coordinate with other practices and sub-consultants as required.
