The preferred candidate is a skilled project manager with 9 years of experience managing electrical design projects as prime or a subconsultant to other disciplines. Duties, Responsibilities & Other In this role, you will: Manage a team of engineers, designers, and project managers. Train and develop staff. Partner with the Practice Leader to help grow the Electrical Practice. Prepare proposals including technical approach, scope, schedule, and fee. Oversee and in some cases be directly involved in the preparation of plans, technical specifications, technical reports, and construction period services. Be responsible for project delivery of complete design packages, including coordination and oversight of multiple design disciplines. Preferred Qualifications: At least 9 years of experience in Electrical design and construction. Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure is required. Highly self-motivated and dynamic individual. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience leading a team of engineers/designers. Project Management experience required, with experience in managing and growing a design team preferred. Strong technical knowledge base in Electrical engineering principles and design is required. Broader technical knowledge in Low Voltage, Arc Flash, Energy Conservation, Mechanical, and Fire Protection engineering is a plus. Experience with contract management, billing, and workload planning to track/meet budgets. Experience and passion for growth into new business sectors. Successful candidate should have client contacts and both the passion and ability to bring in new business. Experience in developing and managing public- and private-sector clients is required. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 9 - 14 years of professional experience. Appropriate professional certification preferred. Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Performance Expectations: Complete Annual Individual Training Program. Mentor and train staff. Develop and maintain customer relationships.
