Key Responsibilities- Data Center Electrical Designs: Develop and implement electrical design solutions for our data centers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other disciplines, such as mechanical and civil engineering, to create a comprehensive construction document set.
- Design and Documentation: Create detailed design documentation, including plans, specifications, and technical reports, to support construction and permitting.
- Equipment Submittals: Review and approve equipment submittals to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Project Scope Definition: Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to and during construction phases.
- Commissioning and Testing: Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
- Travel and Site Visits: Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed.
Our team is responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for our data centers, ensuring high availability, reliability, and efficiency. We work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet our business needs.
Requirements- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7 years of experience with industrial or commercial electrical design, 9 years of experience developing design documentation for construction and/or permitting.
- Skills: Proficiency in electrical design software, knowledge of building codes and regulations, including Life Safety, IBC, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
- Professional Engineering License: Possession of a Professional Engineering License is highly desirable.
