**Primary Objective**

To develop and implement strategies that will increase the overall revenues of the hotel through solicitations, relationship building, and marketing.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

- Responsible for soliciting new and repeat group and transient business from all market segments through outside sales, phone, and email solicitation

- Responsible for identifying each week's projected solicitations

- Direct, train, motivate and mentor sales staff as to the basics of sales techniques and catering responsibilities.

- Review group and catering inquiries weekly to ensure all leads are evaluated for proper follow-up, maximization of revenues, and training opportunities.

- Attend industry-related events and Trade Shows

- Forecast group room revenues

- Administer end of month reports to GM for review prior to submitting to owners

- Develop and implement quarterly action plans

- Responsible for attending all brand training sessions

- Review and administer all Group Resumes, VIP site visit forms, and other pertinent memos within the hotel

**Requirements**

Self-motivated and have a strong desire to do outside sales calls and phone solicitations. Must be a self-starter and team player with a can-do attitude. Must be involved in the local community and participate in all local trade organizations, some of which are done on your own time.

**Physical Requirements:**

* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

**Preferred:** Knowledge of Delphi or HSP.

Goals and Incentives: The Sales Manager will be eligible for the hotels current sales incentive plan.
