**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Director of People and Engagement, the HR Coordinator will play a role in the Benefits, HR information systems (HRIS), and firm culture, providing support across various parts of HR. From handling employee transactions and files to triaging benefits queries, the HR Coordinator will ensure the smooth functioning of our HR processes. Additionally, this individual will be critical in fielding inquiries in our HR Help mailbox, supporting staff recruitment efforts, and conducting crucial benefit and HRIS audits.

**Essential Functions Include**:

- Provide support for vital operational processes, ensuring continuity and efficiency.
- Facilitate all HR employee transactions and organize pertinent documentation.
- Conduct thorough benefits, retirement, HRIS, and statutory audits, ensuring compliance and optimal performance.
- Triage and resolve leave and benefit queries, focusing on promptness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Manage and respond to inquiries received in the HR Help mailbox in a timely manner.
- Support staff recruitment function and optimize processes to secure top talent.
- Conduct onboarding and offboarding practices and orientations, and necessary follow-up support.
- Review and update HR communications and website to reflect current HR offerings and processes.
- Assist with annual HR processes, including performance evaluation, compensation, non-discretionary training, and benefit open enrollment cycles.
- Support HR team members to further the work of wellness, development, and engagement initiatives.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities for HR processes.
- Work on HR projects, leveraging expertise to drive successful outcomes and innovation.
- Assist or manage other responsibilities as assigned.

**Qualifications and Prior Experience**:

- College degree preferred or equivalent experience required.
- Two or more years of experience working in Human Resources, HRIS, or business administration preferred.
- Familiarity with general HR practices preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint); ADP; and applicant tracking systems.
- Work style that lends to contributing to a psychologically safe and collaborative team environment by overcommunicating, continuously seeking process improvement, generating ideas for innovation, and accepting and providing feedback during the course of work.
- Ability to manage time effectively and be flexible as demands and priorities change.
- Excellent verbal, spoken, and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and follow-up skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to create and follow processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with ADP.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in the Chicago headquarter's office once per month.
