EXPERIENCED HOURLY RATE: 25-30 (DEPENDING ON PRIOR EXPERIENCE)

OFFICE INFORMATION: PRIVATE DOCTOR’S OFFICE SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED MEDICAL COLLECTOR. THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS PERSON IS TO REVIEW THE OUTSTANDING PATIENT BALANCES, FOLLOWING UP ON COLLECTING THE UNPAID CLAIMS. COMMUNICATING VIA PHONE AND EMAIL TO RESOLVE UNPAID CLAIMS. HIGHLY ORGANIZED INDIVIDUAL BEING ABLE TO PERFORM SUCH TASKS AND MORE.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

- STRONG VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- STRONG ABILITY TO COMPOSE COLLECTION AND APPEAL LETTERS
- STRONG COMPUTER SKILLS
- DEMONSTRATE A HIGH LEVEL OF PROFESSIONALISM AND ACCOUNTABILITY.
- STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL, ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS AND TIME MANAGEMENT. STRONG NEGOTIATION AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- FAMILIARITY WITH ICD-10 AND HCPC CODING.
- EXPERIENCE IN MEDICAL BILLING IN VARIOUS SETTINGS SUCH AS MULTISPECIALTY SURGERY CENTER, CLINICS, ETC.
- MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE IN MEDICAL COLLECTIONS.
- ABILITY TO MULTI-TASK, WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND PROBLEM SOLVE.
