Trauma Quality Coordinator RN Job Description

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA is seeking a skilled RN Trauma Quality Coordinator to join our team. As a Trauma Quality Coordinator, you will play a critical role in leading improvement processes activities for the trauma population through the review of patient's charts, quality indicators, analysis and reporting in the Trauma Committee.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead improvement processes activities for the trauma population
  • Review patient's charts, quality indicators, analysis and reporting in the Trauma Committee
  • Assist in monitoring and coordinating all aspects of the Trauma Service Performance Improvement and Patient Safety program
  • Responsible for clinical data abstraction from the medical records of trauma patients for the purposes of quality improvement
  • Develop and implement injury prevention activities as indicated by the Providence Holy Cross trauma population and our local epidemiological data
  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of trauma education for clinicians involved in the care of the trauma patient, including EMS, Emergency, and Acute Care
  • Assist in the coordination of trauma care for patients throughout their hospitalization
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire, Trauma Nursing Core Course
  • Trauma, emergency or critical care experience within a health care organization
  • ICD-10, Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) scoring course
  • Recent experience in Emergency, Critical Care, or Trauma nursing
  • Experience with collector software and the State Trauma Registry
