We are in search of an enthusiastic animal loving individual who would enjoy becoming an integral part of a fast-paced high-level and diagnostic imaging team in the Leesburg area. This job opportunity is a great way to make a difference, while gaining experience in the veterinary field. We would love to find someone who is positive, driven, a team-player, and passionate about helping animals. This is a veterinary support role which will work around 40+ hrs/wk.

Responsibilities / Qualifications:
**Responsibilities**:

- Being available Monday-Friday (5 days/week) from 8:30/9AM to 5PM
- Being flexible with morning meetup times
- Driving in various parts of the Virginia Beach and the surrounding areas
- Lifting, handling, and comforting animals
- Keeping patient’s still, while the doctor's perform the ultrasound services
- Lifting and loading all equipment in and out of the company vehicle
- Setting up and taking apart ultrasound equipment
- Prepping biopsy needles and slides
- Keeping inventory of all supplies
- Occasionally handling car maintenance

**Experience**:

- Veterinary assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Animal restraint: 1 year (preferred)
- Driving: 3+ years (required)

**Position Requirements**:

- Drivers license
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Being available Monday
- Friday 9am-5pm, with flexible meetup times
- Passion for animals and the veterinary field
- Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations, and work with others on a team respectfully
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
