Key Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Administering surgical anesthesia and providing post-operative care.
- Performing essential veterinary technician duties, including:
- Venipuncture
- IV catheter placement
- Medication administration (IV and other methods)
- Monitoring vital signs
- Documenting patient behavior and condition changes
- Delivering high-quality medical and nursing care.
About You:
You possess a solid foundation in veterinary practices and can work both independently and collaboratively. You demonstrate excellent judgment and adaptability to meet the needs of each patient. A positive attitude and eagerness to expand your skill set are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with EzyVet and SmartFlow is advantageous.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A current and active Veterinary Technician License in Virginia or eligibility for licensing.
- A minimum of two years of experience as an LVT or one year as a Veterinary Assistant with two years of experience.
- Extensive experience in anesthesia, venipuncture, and catheterization.
- Strong communication, patient care, and customer service skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic situations.
- A collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively in a team.
Additional Requirements:
Eligible candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and possess valid identification. A successful background check and drug screening are required. A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to respond quickly in urgent situations and may involve lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds. Prolonged periods of sitting may be necessary.
