About the Role:
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical and nursing care to our patients. Your expertise in surgical anesthesia and post-operative care will be essential in ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform essential veterinary technician duties including:
- Venipuncture
- IV catheter placement
- Drug calculations
- Administration of medications via various methods
- Monitoring vital signs
- Observing and documenting changes in patient behavior and condition
- Deliver exceptional medical/nursing care to all patients
- Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain high standards of patient care
- Adapt to the unique needs of each patient and seek opportunities for skill enhancement
Qualifications:
- Active Veterinary Technician License in Virginia or eligibility for licensing
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience as a Veterinary Assistant
- Proficient in anesthesia, venipuncture, and catheter placement
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
