BAE Systems is hiring for a Capture Manager at its San Diego Ship Repair location. We are seeking a professional that sees the big picture, is a strategic thinker, understands proposal development, guides the technical solution, is knowledgeable in price to win, and knows the customer, competitors, products, services, and people for ship repair programs.
As a Capture Manager, you will:
- Develop and maintain strong relations with key customers and stakeholders.
- Create a winning campaign, win executable business, lead the pursuit from opportunity identification through transition to contract execution, and keep the senior leadership abreast of status at all times.
- Own the capture strategy, lead a matrixed team, manage key stakeholders and position our team to win key programs.
- Lead the business case analysis, develop and implement the capture plan and develop and execute the win strategy by leading a matrixed cross functional team. Manage and communicate with stakeholders as part of a program management.
- Oversee the execution of the capture plan and its alignment with the program plan. Implement marketing strategies, sales programs, and alternatives. Understand the defense acquisitions system and aligns the campaign with the program milestones.
- Initiate proposal activities, presentations, and briefings. Recommend and monitors Internal Research and Development (IR&D) keyed to customer requirements. Manages and controls sales & marketing and bid & proposal budgets and expenses through sound budgetary techniques.
- Provides recurring reports to include monthly summaries of activities and status of opportunities, as well as specific response to data calls for recurring management reviews.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
- Bachelor's Degree plus 10+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent experience
- Has strong working knowledge of DoD Industry
- Strong working knowledge of Ship Repair Industry
- Experience with Ship Repair programs or operations
- DoD Contracting experience
- Experience in capture management and proposal development
- Proactive aptitude and desire to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with various capture contract types and pricing strategies, including competitor assessments
- Demonstrated success in leading multiple captures simultaneously at various stages of the opportunity lifecycle
- Ability and desire to build and document data-driven capture strategies and plans
- Ability to develop strategic pricing strategies
- Knowledge of customer community, relationships, and experience with procurement organizations
- Ability to communicate (written/oral) at the most senior levels of government and with internal executives
- Ability to think strategically
- Ability to negotiate effectively with customers, industry partners, and teammates

**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140
