About the Role

Sellers & Associates, LLC is seeking a highly experienced **Business Development Executive** to join our team in Plant City, FL. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable growth and developing executable business strategies that align with our company's core competencies and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage business development actions across the company, including opportunity qualification, capture, proposal readiness, and bid and proposal development.
  • Integrate business development processes and procedures with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct market analysis to determine trends, procurement opportunities, competition, and contractual vehicles.
  • Identify and assess upcoming procurements in target markets, including potential customers, competitive landscape, and requirements.
  • Manage the qualification review process to determine alignment with company strategy, assess strengths and weaknesses, and identify potential teaming opportunities.
  • Manage the capture process, including developing the capture schedule, conducting routine capture meetings, and refining the customer call plan.
  • Manage proposal readiness and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Guide collaborative processes to develop, produce, and coordinate technical and pricing proposal development.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the defense industry as a contractor.
  • Experience in direct support, project/program management, and business development functions.
  • Strong understanding of integrated business development actions and processes.
  • Experience in leadership, management, and execution of prime contracts and subcontracts.
  • Verifiable record of experience in managing or significantly supporting prime captures and bids and proposals resulting in wins.
  • Experience in call plan development and execution, formal proposal readiness reviews, and management of proposal development.
  • Experience across a combination of DoD and/or FEDCIV organizations, including U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, Department of Homeland Security, and/or Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Experience across a diverse set of geographic locations, client commands, and a portfolio of work spanning core competencies.
  • Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, relationship development, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and schedule management experience.
Travel Requirements

30 - 40% travel required for customer calls, capture execution, industry events, teaming, and other internal and external meetings.
