As one of the four divisions of ALTANA which develops and produces high-quality innovative products in the specialty chemicals industry, ACTEGA North America operates as the US based platform for all market segments served by ACTEGA. The Regional Service Center Production Operator is responsible for reviewing batch sheets, properly selecting weights of chemicals, and mixing chemicals to specifications as indicated on the batch sheets. This position is responsible for ensuring that all batches of chemicals are properly filtered to meet quality assurance standards. This must also ensure all filtered products are filled into proper containers and properly labeled.
- Support and promote a culture of safety first by personal demonstration of appropriate safety behaviors and actively caring about others.
- Have a solid understanding of production procedures including how to review a batch sheet, using the correct containers, mixers, and preparation process.
- Maintain and understand all necessary manufacturing equipment including but not limited to PPE, mixers, scales, forklifts, dispensers, etc.
- Comprehend critical parameters of various product lines.
- Record production data from documents including customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual work production sheets.
- Calculate and record factors such as total quantity of specific material used and lot number from individual intermediates and letdowns.
- Quality control of production batches as assigned
- Perform proper filtration of QA approved materials into containers specified by process order instructions.
- Fill containers with product after filtration to the correct weights as specified on the process order.
- Perform correct and neat identification of product that has been filtered and packaged so it can be properly labeled, stored, and shipped.
- Accurately record yields and container consumption on process orders for confirmation.
- Process “re-packs” of materials into new containers; complete the necessary re-pack forms.
- Perform scheduled housekeeping, as assigned by department supervisor or manager
- Forklift operation

**Minimum Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment with previous chemical experience preferred
- Ability to write, read, comprehend, follow instructions and safety procedures
- Proven ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- SAP experience preferred

**Physical Demands and Work Environment**

This position requires working in an open production facility. The person in this position must be able to:

- Frequent ability to walk, stand, move, and/or navigate in an open warehouse environment
- Frequent operation of a forklift
- Frequent ability to:

- Climb 50% of the time_
- Balance 50% of the time_
- Stoop 50% of the time_
- Kneel 50% of the time_
