As a Culinary Operations Manager, you will be a talented chef who merges culinary expertise with outstanding leadership abilities. You will oversee our Food & Beverage program, ensuring our acclaimed menus are executed flawlessly while maintaining high standards and efficient kitchen operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
MASTER THE MENU
- Follow the company’s established Food & Beverage menu and procurement protocols.
MONITOR FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
- Manage budgeted revenue, cost of goods sold, labor, and supplies, as well as cash flow related to food services; analyze monthly profit and loss reports and adjust strategies as needed.
ORCHESTRATE EVENTS
- Collaborate with the Operations team and Sales personnel to plan, oversee, and execute all events, ensuring the preparation and service of food and beverages, including post-event cleanup; assist with cooking as necessary.
STRATEGIC PLANNING
- Forecast food needs and procure items as required from our designated food program; efficiently schedule staff to meet varying business demands.
BUILD A HIGH-PERFORMING TEAM
- Partner with management to recruit, train, and retain an exceptional kitchen team.
ENSURE QUALITY STANDARDS
- Guarantee that product quality, freshness, and presentation consistently meet company standards; supervise the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food items.
MAINTAIN SANITATION STANDARDS
- Oversee all kitchen equipment maintenance and implement sanitation audits and cleaning schedules to comply with local health regulations. Report any critical issues to management.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
You are a seasoned chef with a strong customer service orientation, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of profit and loss management. You take responsibility for your team and possess exceptional organizational skills. Our centers operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment that is both challenging and rewarding. You will lead a team of cooks, dishwashers, and servers, reporting to and supporting the General Manager on all food-related matters. Experience in catering or special event food presentation is a plus, but not mandatory.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in kitchen management.
- Bachelor’s degree or culinary diploma preferred.
- Experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant settings is essential.
- Experience with catered events is advantageous.
- Current ServSafe certification is mandatory.
- ServSafe instructor certification or the ability to obtain it is preferred.
