Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Vault Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the vault in alignment with Empyreal Logistics' objectives, customer satisfaction, and compliance with regulations. This pivotal role is situated at a cash processing facility, allowing for a concentrated focus on operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Fosters a positive communication culture within a collaborative work environment through various channels.
  • Provides effective supervision of teller staff on a daily basis.
  • Oversees the management of all currency transactions, including scheduling, prioritizing tasks, and resolving workflow challenges.
  • Ensures that all Federal Reserve Deposits are accurately prepared and documented.
  • Supervises the daily reconciliation of vaults while maintaining established cash limits.
  • Monitors teller performance and offers constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Assists in identifying cash discrepancies and complex issues faced by staff.
  • Investigates and resolves variances, reporting significant issues to management.
  • Ensures the team operates efficiently, delivering high-quality results.
  • Reviews and addresses attendance and timecard issues with employees.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of operational processes and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Trains and develops employees through cross-training initiatives.
  • Handles performance-related issues and provides coaching and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and makes recommendations regarding employee status.
  • Maintains accurate vault records and completes necessary audits and reports.
  • May travel to assist with new location setups, employee training, and other assignments as needed.
  • Embodies and promotes the company's vision, values, and desired workplace culture.
  • Fills in for tellers and other staff as required.
  • Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to work 50 to 55 hours per week as necessary.
  • Familiarity with banking software and systems is preferred.
  • Military experience or higher education is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving and management skills are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset are necessary.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and observational skills are crucial.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is mandatory.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting written and verbal instructions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional travel within the district may be required.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Mobility to perform various tasks.
  • Reaching abilities for overhead and shoulder-level tasks.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist motions.
  • Visual acuity for near and far distances.
  • Ability to use stairs as needed.
  • Effective communication skills for information exchange.
