Media Ministry Lead

Assume responsibility for the operation of Audio-Visual equipment for the Sunday worship service. Set up, operate and maintain the Audio-Visual equipment for the worship service for the approved needs of other ministries of the church. Provide training to other paid or volunteer audio/video personnel (when requested and approved by Supervisor) to drive excellence in the use of audio/video to enhance worship experiences.
**Responsibilities**:
- Verify that all Audio-Visual content (photos, song lyrics & notes, graphic images, art, scriptures, announcements, and sound board) needed for the service have been loaded prior to the event or service.
- Meet with the presenters (pastors, speakers, worship leaders, music director) immediately prior to the worship service to validate the sequence, scripting and appropriateness of the Audio-Visual content.
- Perform Audio-Visual checks immediately before the worship service or event.
- Set up and take down Audio-Visual equipment, for each service or event.
- Operate the Audio-Visual equipment to support needs.
- Supervise additional team members when workload requires more than one person at worship service or event.
- Maintain working knowledge of all equipment and software used by the ministry (for both the sanctuary and the Faith Center)
- Train other team members on proper setup and operation of Audio-Visual equipment and software in use in both the Sanctuary and Faith Center.
- Follow processes and procedures to safeguard the equipment.
- Report equipment failures to the Senior Pastor immediately.
- All other duties as assigned
**Work Schedule**:
- Sunday mornings from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM (3 hours):
- Sunday Morning Worship services
- Special/Combined worship services
- Additional time may also be required outside of Sunday morning schedule to accomplish assigned responsibilities as necessary. In these situations, hours required, and schedule will be approved in advance by supervisor and paid at the standard hourly rate.
- Audio-Visual needs for funerals, weddings and other events will be requested as needed. Ministry team members will be asked to work those events and would be expected to accommodate these additional services, if their schedule permits. The requests will be alternated between team leads first and then extended to team members. These additional services are not included as part of the normal job requirements and compensation for these events will be determined separately on an event-by-event basis.
