The incumbent will work with CARB, local air pollution control agencies and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S.EPA) to provide technical support, develop standard operating procedures and provide training. Additional work includes evaluating and testing prototype air quality monitoring and sampling methods, data acquisition systems, instrumentation and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of the state and local air monitoring networks.
Occasional overnight travel.

Working Conditions
This position may be eligible for hybrid in-office work and in-state telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the agency and is based on the California Air resource Boards' (CARB) current telework policy. While the CARB may support telework, some in-person attendance is also required.
- Standard office environment (for example, artificial lighting, controlled temperature, etc.)
- Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.
- Must be able to move/transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Occasionally working outdoor at air monitoring stations.
- Occasional overnight travel.
- Adherence to a safety-related dress code and training requirements.
Pay: $5,633.00 - $10,903.00 per month
