This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the flexibility of a work-from-home model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop, execute, and assess WMTA’s annual marketing strategy, tailored to engage current and potential partner businesses as well as the traveling public.
- Cultivate and expand WMTA’s social media presence across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
- Manage digital advertising campaigns on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads to enhance WMTA's visibility.
- Support WMTA’s participation in trade shows, including occasional overnight and weekend travel.
- Assist in maintaining and updating WMTA's website.
- Co-create and oversee the production of content for WMTA’s annual West Michigan Carefree Travel Guide and Lighthouse Map publications.
- Act as a spokesperson for WMTA, participating in television and radio appearances and cultivating positive media relations.
- Collaborate with WMTA partners to provide support and promote their initiatives. Present content at quarterly Partner Receptions.
- Curate and distribute monthly editorial content while contributing to the development of an annual content calendar.
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts to inform future strategies.
- Contribute actively to the growth and success of our historic organization.
- Work closely with the WMTA team on various marketing projects as required.
