Job Summary:
Job Duties:
Essential duties include:

- Planning, organizing, and coordinating the accounting and financial reporting for grants, including: preparing monthly budget reports, forecasting revenue, estimating any carry-over of funds from one year to the next
- Researching issues, preparing invoices/billing and collecting funds for the support of restricted fund expenditures
- Preparing journal entries to ensure accurate recording of grant income and expenses in the Arizona Financial Information System

(AFIS)
- Reviewing and approving workflow requisition transactions in the Arizona Procurement Portal (APP)
- Preparing or assisting in the preparation of all applicable fiscal reports for sponsored programs and ensuring the timely

submission thereof
- Coordinating with key personnel at all levels of the agency to support proper and timely expenditure of grant funds in compliance

with applicable guidelines and budget deadlines
- Developing positive working relationships to foster a collaborative environment for grant coordination and oversight
- Attending professional development training and staying abreast of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circulars and

their applicability to grant management related audit, federal regulations, state laws and agency policies, and any workshops or
seminars on grants or special revenues
- Setting up, monitoring, and auditing of personnel time and effort to ensure that Time & Effort requirements as defined by OMB

guidelines are being followed
- Maintaining grant fiscal records
- Monitoring salary and non-salary expenditures and journal entries for reasonableness and compliance with Allowable Cost

Principles as applicable
- Preparing and updating, as needed, financial procedures related to grants

Pre-Employment Requirements:

- Associate's Degree and/or minimum of two years of general accounting experience
- Or equivalent experience managing grants.
- Must be able to pass FBI and State background check or Fingerprint Clearance Card as

position requires by policy or Statute
- If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: _Driver’s License Requirements._
