We are seeking a highly skilled Grants Manager to join our team at Southwest Human Development. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing grant funding to support our mission and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporations that align with our mission and programs.
  • Write and submit high-quality grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Oversee the administration of awarded grants, including tracking progress, ensuring compliance with grant terms, and preparing required reports.
  • Work closely with program staff to understand funding needs and develop proposals that support program goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders, including regular communication and stewardship activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all grant activities, including proposals submitted, grants awarded, and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of funded programs and prepare reports for funders and our organization's leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or Early Childhood Education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing and management, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to qualify for one.
