This role involves identifying, evaluating, and overseeing grant opportunities to ensure alignment with organizational goals while managing awarded grant program activities, financial compliance, and reporting in partnership with internal teams and funding bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with federal and other relevant programmatic and financial regulations for awarded grants.
- Compile and present ongoing reports detailing activities and the status of grant programs.
- Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities.
- Inform agency leadership and staff about suitable grant options.
- Stay updated on legislative and regulatory developments affecting federal and other grant funding.
- Assist agency personnel in preparing grant applications and serve as the primary contact for submissions through various platforms.
- Maintain organized grant documentation in accordance with retention policies.
- Generate regular activity and status reports for grant initiatives.
- Engage in state business travel as required.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of: Grant administration systems, budgeting processes, federal and state grant regulations, and accounting principles as they pertain to grants.
- Skills in: Effective verbal and written communication, project management, and proficient use of software tools (Microsoft Office and Google Suite).
- Ability to: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prepare comprehensive reports, and interpret applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or Accounting.
- A minimum of four years of experience in grants administration and compliance, with a focus on governmental grants and managerial roles in state and federal procurement.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Successful candidates will undergo a background investigation and may be required to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) test during orientation and annually thereafter. If driving is a component of the role, a valid driver's license and completion of necessary training will be mandatory.
