Job Description:

The Legal Operations Specialist will play a key role in supporting the delivery of efficient and effective legal services

This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at optimizing legal processes, implementing technology solutions, and driving data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will collaborate with legal and cross-functional teams to support the achievement of business objectives. Its mainly a claims position. It was released under legal distribution but turned into more administrative work/claims vs legal.

Again, it's more claims admin vs legal background. It's on-site with Friday WFH.



Responsibilities (minimum):

Process Improvement
Proactively identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for streamlining workflows.
Data Management
Leverage data-driven insights to make informed recommendations for improving legal service delivery and decision-making.
Claims Operations
Execute on Claims operations processes in a timely and accurate manner to provide essential support for both Claims operations and customers.
Manage and supervise tendering activities, ensuring proper control, safeguarding, and tracking of parts serving as evidence in legal cases.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Build strong relationships with legal team members
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams



Responsibilities (ideal):

Process Improvement
Thoroughly document and standardize existing legal processes to establish a baseline for improvement.
Implement process improvements leveraging Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and methodologies.
Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation and training materials to ensure knowledge transfer and sustainability.
Technology Implementation
Provide hands-on support for the implementation and adoption of new technologies across the legal department.
Deliver training and guidance to legal team members on the effective use of new tools and systems.
Data Management
Systematically collect and analyze data on legal operations performance metrics.
Develop and maintain insightful dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends.
Leverage data-driven insights to make informed recommendations for improving legal service delivery and decision-making.
Financial Management
Manage vendor onboarding processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Timely and accurately process purchase orders and invoices to support financial operations.
Diligently track and report on legal spend to monitor budget adherence and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Build strong relationships with legal team members to deeply understand their needs, pain points, and areas for support.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements that benefit the broader organization.
Provide ongoing training and support to legal team members on legal operations tools, processes, and best practices.



Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field.
2+ years of demonstrated experience in legal operations or a similar role within a corporate legal department.
Strong understanding of legal processes, workflows, and the application of technology to improve efficiency.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as contribute effectively as part of a team.



Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with legal systems and processes.
Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile.
Project management experience, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
