Position Overview
As a Field Auto Adjuster, you will be integral to our auto claims management process, conducting assessments directly at clients' residences, repair facilities, or towing locations. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of customer and shop interactions, including in-person, virtual, and written communications, as you evaluate and finalize damage estimates. With a variety of tasks, including assessing repairable damages, total loss evaluations, and conducting virtual inspections, you will thrive in a dynamic and stimulating work atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Advocate - You will embody Allstate's Claims Culture by demonstrating care, empowerment, and restoration, ensuring that you approach each casualty claim with compassion and clarity.
Claims Investigator - You will independently investigate casualty claims by conducting thorough damage assessments and interpreting policies to determine coverage eligibility.
Effective Communicator - You will utilize various communication methods, including phone calls, emails, and video chats, to guide customers through a streamlined claims process. You will adapt your communication style to meet customer preferences, ensuring they are informed about their claim status.
Negotiation Specialist - You will assess and negotiate claims settlements with clients, vendors, third-party insurers, and claimants, adhering to all legal and industry standards. Your negotiation skills will be essential in managing complex situations effectively.
Problem Solver - You will leverage multiple tools and resources to perform your duties in a fast-paced environment, employing your critical thinking abilities to resolve issues efficiently.
Documentation Expert - You will safeguard the company's financial interests by adhering to policy agreements and maintaining accurate records in our claims management system. Timely and precise documentation is essential as you handle each claim.
This position requires prior experience. Candidates must possess a minimum of 24 months of experience in auto collision estimating using platforms such as CCC One or Mitchell.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto collision estimating.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective customer interaction.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to produce clear, comprehensive estimates.
- Proficient in utilizing technology and various claims processing platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Valid driver's license and readiness to travel as required.
As a condition of employment, you may be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license, which includes passing a background check with the Department of Labor. If necessary, you will need to secure the required license(s) within 60 days of employment.
