Scranton, United States Manatee Full time

Remote Child and Family Therapist (Contractor/1099)

Pennsylvania

JOIN THE MANATEAM
We are looking for therapists joining our provider team.
Mental health for today’s family.
Manatee is a family-first, virtual mental health clinic, designed for kids living in the modern world. We’ve put our heads together to create the best mental health care for families.
Imagine a world where every child feels understood and supported. Where mental health is not taboo. Where families and therapists work together and build relationships. A world where mental health care is engaging and effective for children. Join us as we build care for the modern family

Our care focuses on:

  • Providing care for the whole family, not just the child
  • Building and deepening the parent-child connection
  • Using clinically validated assessments and technology to supercharge progress.

Job Overview:
We are on the lookout for a child or family therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMHC) to join our care team. As an integral member of the clinical team, you will work with phenomenal providers and report into the Chief Clinical Officer to deliver evidence-based care to children and families. You will also play a critical role in identifying the needs and objectives of Manatee’s families, our parenting programs and content for our digital products.

About the role:
We are looking for a passionate Pennsylvania -licensed contractor/1099 therapist to join our clinical team. The contractor role may grow into a W2 role. In this exciting role, you will deliver care to children and parents while championing our evidence-based mental health programs and our innovative approach to supercharging therapy. In addition, to drive your fulfillment, improve family outcomes and create a delightful client experience, we value your expertise to improve Manatee’s clinical care and digital products.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Provide evidence-based therapy to children, parents, and families.
  • Conduct clinical intakes and review progress measures.
  • Use the Manatee platform to develop and monitor treatment plans and client progress.
  • Assist in translating latest clinical best practices into actionable and feasible engaging clinical content (activities, handouts, and interventions)
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and pertinent data in EHR
  • Collaborate with clinical team to continuously improve our programs and services.
  • Provide valuable feedback and insights to product and design teams.
  • Help Mantee grow and thrive by contributing with your strengths, experiences, and passions (e.g. host live roundtables for parents, public speaking opportunities, contribute to blog posts and articles)

You’ll be successful with us if:

  • You are licensed to practice psychotherapy or counseling in Pennsylvania (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, PsyD, PhD, etc.)
  • You have availability after 3pm (ET)
  • You have 2+ years of experience providing therapy to children and families.
  • You are flexible, creative, and curious about how mental health could be for kids and families.
  • You are highly organized and self-starter; able to multitask and be efficient in ambiguous situations (important when working in a startup environment)
  • You have a low ego and a sense of humor.
  • You have a desire to learn and share your knowledge with clinical and non-clinical colleagues.

What’s in it for you?

  • Work with a team that is deeply committed to improving the life of children and families.
  • By joining us at this stage you have the unique opportunity for growth and to become a key player in how Manatee challenges the pediatric mental health status quo and pushes the field forward.
  • Work for a “Remote First” company, so you have no commute and can work from anywhere.
  • Work with a super ambitious, international and smart team (at least we'd like to think so)
  • Competitive salary in a seed stage start-up

In addition to finding people who are truly excellent at what they do, we take our values at Manatee seriously:
We believe

  • Children are our future.
  • Diversity is our superpower, not our weakness.
  • All good things die in the comfort zone.
  • Be kind whenever possible, it’s always possible.

Job Types: Contractor/1099

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Availability after 3pm (ET) is required
  • For 1099/contractors: minimum of 8hrs/week after 3pm available to provide therapy to kids and families

License/Certification:

  • LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMHC, PhD, Psy D., etc (Required)
