Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Supervised Visitation Specialist to join our team at the Employment Opportunity & Training Center of NE PA. As a key member of our Parent Child Programs department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and supervise visits between non-custodial parents/caregivers and children, maintaining a neutral and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct thorough intake evaluations, assessing physical and emotional parenting skills/knowledge, boundary setting, and overall parent-child interaction.
  • Perform comprehensive note-taking using a standardized format, ensuring accurate and detailed records of all interactions.
  • Regularly write and submit reports to the court, which may include testifying in court as needed.
  • Act as a liaison and family intermediary between custodial and non-custodial caregivers, the court system, and other service providers, providing support and guidance to families in need.
  • Regular data entry (Excel and agency database) and file maintenance, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Represent the agency in community or interagency activities, promoting our mission and values.
  • Attend professional development opportunities when available, staying current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree, with 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Background in the counseling/mental health field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain neutral and professional in challenging situations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Microsoft Office skills and accurate typing/data entry skills required.
