Join our team as a Family Development Specialist and make a meaningful impact in the lives of families in need. As a key member of our Parent Child Programs department, you will provide home-based education and support services to participating families and groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide home visitation/education services to families and groups, focusing on areas such as parent-child interaction, family/child well-being, and development-centered parenting.
- Maintain accurate records and complete program-related data entry.
- Participate in team meetings, reflective supervision, and home visit observations to ensure model fidelity.
- Plan and implement individual and group activities to stimulate growth in children's language, social, and motor skills.
- Collaborate with community partners and human service agencies to link families to resources and provide participant referrals as needed.
- Provide follow-up support to families as needed and maintain appropriate record keeping.
- Bachelor's degree in elementary education, neuroscience, early childhood education, social work, or a related field.
- Familiarity with at-risk populations and a willingness to work with diverse cultures and families with economic challenges, addiction, child welfare involvement, intellectual disabilities, and mental health issues.
- Ability to teach relevant programming using evidence-based curricula and provide home visiting model training/certification.
- Good understanding of family dynamics, child development, and psychology.
