Accounts Receivable Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

Works closely with the Biologic Team Lead to help streamline the biologic process, billing, and collection
Communicates with providers, nurses, managers, and patients to track Billing for the biologics process
Communicates on the telephone professionally and pleasantly. Efficiently screens and directs calls and make appointments as necessary for the biologics process, if required
Runs reports to track biologics Billing and maintains integrity of patient billing records
Collecting all necessary documentation to complete timely and accurate submission of prior authorizations for biologics, as necessary
Interacts with clients, insurance companies, sales representatives, providers, and patients, as necessary
Follow HIPAA policies, billing and follow up procedures

Accounts Receivable Specialist Qualifications :

High School Diploma

Minimum 2 years of recent AR experience in a healthcare setting

Proficient with Microsoft applications

EMR experience – 2 years

Proficient in denial management

Experience working Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid plans.

Experience working in fast- paced, high volume, multi-provider practice.

Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials.

Hybrid schedule
