Position Overview
The Human Resources Manager will be instrumental in managing all aspects of HR operations, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee engagement. This role will ensure that HR strategies align with Protect AI's mission, providing support to managers and employees alike to foster a culture of innovation, respect, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
- Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a seamless integration for new hires, setting up training schedules and guiding employees on company policies and benefits.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover data to identify trends and recommend improvements to retention strategies.
- Support the implementation of Protect AI's performance review process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development.
- Work with department heads to ensure consistent application of performance management principles and continuous feedback.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and workplace issues, providing guidance and mediation when necessary.
- Organize team-building activities, wellness programs, and engagement surveys to foster a positive company culture.
- Develop and maintain HR policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including but not limited to labor laws, equal employment, and workplace safety.
- Educate employees on compliance and ensure that Protect AI's practices adhere to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage Protect AI's benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Assist in the development of competitive compensation structures to attract and retain top-tier talent.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify skills gaps and support the development of training programs for employees at all levels.
- Provide coaching, support, and guidance to employees to help them grow and succeed in their roles.
- Track and analyze HR metrics, including turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and time-to-hire, to support data-driven decision-making.
- Prepare regular reports for leadership to inform strategic planning and improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in human resources, preferably in a tech or startup environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
