Human Resource Generalist

The human resource generalist supports the HR department including talent acquisition, orientation and onboarding, learning and development programs, and interpreting policy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions
- Conducts pre-employment screenings for applicants
- Implements new hire orientation and develops on-boarding plan
- Implements employee recognition programs
- Responds to employment related inquiries to include employment verifications
- Develops, implements, and maintains learning and development programs for clinical and administrative departments
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of human resources experience
- Strong interpersonal customer service skills, including effective listening, clear verbal and written communication, problem solving skills
- Ability to master multiple software systems to input and retrieve data
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HCM system
Preferred Requirements
- HR certification from HRCI or SHRM
- Previous multi-site healthcare experience
Essential Job Functions
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally via telephone
- Prolonged periods of sitting and using a computer terminal to read and write
- Frequent bending, reaching, sitting, repetitive hand movements, and lifting up to 10lbs
- Must be able to drive to locations when necessary
The position is hybrid. The position is only required to be in the office for scheduled meetings/events/programs.
