San Francisco, United States Guidewheel Full time
THE COMPANY

Guidewheel is on a mission to empower all the world's factories to reach sustainable peak performance. Inspired by the simple, universal truth that every machine on the factory floor uses power, our plug-and-play FactoryOps platform makes the power of the cloud accessible to any factory. Guidewheel clips onto any machine to turn its real-time "heartbeat" into a connected, actively learning system that empowers teams to reduce lost production time, increase throughput, and perform better and better over time.

At Guidewheel we work with the factories that are the backbone of our economy, and you can have a real, on-the-ground impact right away. We have strong momentum and alignment around our mission, support from top investors, and a culture that values diversity, a growth mindset, and results. And the tight link between our mission and our business model means that reaching more of the world's 10 million factories accelerates our positive impact on the planet.

The Guidewheel team shares the following values:

  • Integrity matters: We are honest, straightforward, and sincere. With each other. With our investors. With our customers.
  • We (actually) care: About each other. About fighting climate change. About making a real impact.
  • We use data to make decisions: We possess the courage to accept "hard truths" and confront challenges head-on.
  • The power of a growth mindset is real: We strive to be the best we can be; to achieve this we are committed to embracing change and expanding our capabilities.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Guidewheel has created a new category of software—FactoryOps—that empowers manufacturers to be more efficient and sustainable. We're seeking a creative, customer-centric, and collaborative Senior Product Marketing Manager role to own and drive Guidewheel's Product Marketing strategy at a key moment with Guidewheel just having closed a stellar Series B.

As the leader of Product Marketing for Guidewheel, you will report directly to the CEO and work with the founders and leadership team to build a world-class Product Marketing function. This is a unique opportunity to define a new category of factory operations, shape the go-to-market strategy, and empower the 10M+ factories worldwide to succeed in the global economy.

  • Define and execute Product Marketing strategy to drive Guidewheel's immediate and long-term growth in line with company strategy.
  • Build the foundation for a terrific Product Marketing engine that builds strong relationships across the company and with our customers.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging informed by user research, market insights, and product understanding.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer success, customers, and products to build and evangelize relevant messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies to drive awareness, pipeline, and revenue growth.
  • Create effective marketing collateral (e.g., webinars, blogs, whitepapers) and sales enablement assets (e.g., pitch decks, cheat sheets, demo scripts) to support go-to-market.
  • Develop and execute effective launch plans for new product features or initiatives, working closely with product, sales, and customer success.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to define strategy for pricing/packaging and help Product Marketing thoughtfully inform the product roadmap. During this exciting time for the manufacturing industry, you will learn the customer and industry inside and out to push the company's thinking and strategy to the next level.
  • Work closely cross-functionally to identify and execute on high-impact Product Marketing areas to drive revenue.
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL CHARACTERISTICS

  • Outstanding ability to strategically define and execute marketing direction and positioning, deeply understanding both the customer and the market.
  • Experience delivering world-class product positioning and messaging.
  • Exceptional care and empathy for customers, adept at swiftly understanding the way different personas think, feel, and make decisions and translating that into compelling strategy, positioning, messaging, and collateral that connects deeply with the customer.
  • Superb writer, with the ability to create well-structured content that's clear, direct, and inspiring, resonating with the nuances of emotion and language tailored to each persona.
  • High velocity and high quality. Results-driven with a bias for action and commitment to excellence. Self-directed, roll up the sleeves, and engages in all activities with a sense of urgency. Gets it done on time, every time.
  • Entrepreneurial and driven - wants to be part of a fast-growing SaaS company, set high standards, and deliver world-class results, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability as needed in a startup environment. Evidence of extreme drive, looking for a challenge, and committed to winning as a team.
  • A team builder, team player, and leader who inspires loyalty, trust, and following. Collaborative attitude and desire to contribute outside primary areas of responsibility. Inspires others and is highly respected.
What's In It For You?

  • Build a world-class Product Marketing function and team.
  • Grow with a team that believes developing talent is important, and is building that as a core strength of the company from day one.
  • Be a leader in the organization, leading the way for future hires and mentoring new team members as they join.
  • Drive real, tangible results for Guidewheel's product marketing, company, customers, and the planet.
  • Work with a team of international talent.
The Location: Anywhere Guidewheel is a distributed team across 5 countries - our expectation is to remain 100% remote-first for the foreseeable future. For this role, you'll be working with a team in North American time zones. #J-18808-Ljbffr
