Overview

The Regional Custom Spaces Sales Director - West leads and motivates Market Sales Managers across multiple territories. This role strategically emphasizes building and sustaining high performing in-home sales teams. Additionally, the director facilitates best practices, cross-market collaboration, and leadership development to foster growth in premium custom spaces. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.

This position can be located anywhere on the West Coast, United States, preferably near a network of TCS Stores.

Position Reports To

Senior Director Custom Spaces In-Home National Sales

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Foster an environment of inspiring communication, leveraging effective messaging and storytelling to align teams with strategic goals and drive organizational success.
  • Develop and assess short and long-term sales strategies and plans to achieve regional sales goals, conversion rates, and key business metrics.
  • Apply business acumen to analyze data and metrics to track performance, identify opportunities, and refine sales strategies.
  • Lead initiatives, applying industry trends and insights, to remove obstacles and streamline processes to enhance operational efficiency and team effectiveness.
  • Develop and nurture top talent through strategic coaching, mentorship, and professional development initiatives to drive sales performance and leadership growth, ensuring effective succession planning.
  • Lead the strategic evaluation of performance to ensure exceptional customer experiences are consistently delivered.
  • Collaborate with store leadership and marketing to identify targeted opportunities, generate new leads, and develop sales strategies and campaign ideas.
  • Collaborate with finance to establish, review, and manage the Custom Spaces P&L.
  • Engage actively in industry networking events to establish national and regional partnerships to expand brand awareness in custom spaces.
  • Partner with Installation Services or other Support Center partners to address and resolve customer issues or escalations, while minimizing discount accommodations.
  • Maintain discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information.

Experience and Skills Required

  • College degree preferred.
  • To excel in this position, candidates must have 7+ years of a proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies, leading high-performing sales teams, and strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate others.
  • The role demands the ability to manage multiple priorities, proactive problem solving, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in retail sales or custom space multi-unit preferred.
  • Ability to travel and committed to schedule flexibility based on the business needs.
  • Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week.
  • Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge.
