Community Youth Services’Integrated Counseling Division is looking for an IT expert with a passion for healthcare technology. We are seeking an Electronic Health Records (EHR) Optimization Specialist to join our team who will play a crucial role in the implementation and maintenance of EHR/EMR systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.  As an EHR Specialist, your role directly impacts patient care, data integrity, and program quality. You’ll optimize EHR systems, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in an IT or Software Development-related field.
  • Two years of experience with an EHR/EMR system.
  • Proficiency in SQL databases, including understanding and practical experience.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of healthcare industry practices, workflows, and EHR terminology.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data security standards (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2) and state regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members from diverse disciplines and learning styles.
  • Skill in recognizing trends in healthcare data and contributing to program quality enhancement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • EHR Expertise: Leverage your robust background in EHR/EMR systems to support our ICD team. Your knowledge of SQL databases and scripting languages (Python, Perl, and PowerShell) will be essential.
  • System Optimization: Develop and optimize SQL database solutions, enhancing system efficiency and data management.
  • Data Security Compliance: Adhere to healthcare data security standards, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Protecting patient information is paramount.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the ICD team and stakeholders, contributing to the continuous improvement of healthcare program quality.
  • Expert Data Analysis: Utilize your analytical skills to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and drive informed decision-making.

Agency Qualifications:

  1. Successfully clear a thorough background check with no history of causing harm, particularly to children or vulnerable adults.
  2. Maintain a clean criminal record, demonstrating professional and personal integrity.
  3. Hold a valid Washington State Driver's License with at least five years of driving experience and a good driving record for the past three years.
  4. Provide proof ofauto insurance with coverage of $100,000 or more.
  5. Show cultural sensitivity and the ability to respond to the diverse needs of the organization’s community.
  6. Acquire CPR/1st Aid/Bloodborne Pathogen certification within 30 days of employment (required before starting some positions).
  7. Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
