Position Overview:

Amentum is currently seeking a Naval Electronic Warfare Specialist to serve as an On-site Representative (OSR) for the AN/SLQ-32 system. This role involves supporting the In-service Engineering Agent (ISEA) during the installation and removal processes of SLQ-32 equipment on US NAVY vessels. The position will entail a mix of remote and on-site work, primarily conducted in office settings and aboard ships at various naval facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in production meetings to ensure project alignment.
  • Conduct safety and quality assessments on ongoing work.
  • Track and report on installation progress.
  • Prepare and deliver daily and weekly status updates.
  • Verify ship installation drawings for accuracy.
  • Submit Liaison Action Records (LAR) to rectify drawing discrepancies.
  • Provide necessary engineering documentation, including FBR, ESR, and DFS.
  • Oversee the installation workflow, including planning, ship inspections, and integration with maintenance teams.
  • Assist in diagnosing issues related to installation, removal, or retesting.

Required Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree coupled with 10 years of relevant technical experience, or equivalent experience in maintenance roles such as technician, planner, or supervisor.
  • Ability to obtain a CAC card on the first day of employment and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance, with US Citizenship being a prerequisite.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong technical judgment and initiative.
  • Physical capability to work aboard ships undergoing repairs, including working at heights.
  • Comprehensive understanding of shipyard operations and US NAVY maintenance management, particularly regarding technical oversight of installation activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of an Active Secret Clearance.
  • Familiarity with JFMM, NAVSEA Standard Items, ship modernization procedures, and maintenance planning at various levels.
  • Previous experience as a Leading Petty Officer (LPO) or Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO) with a minimum of 20 years in a technical capacity.
