We are looking for an HR Director to oversee all personal-related matters for Carolina Select Brand, LLC (dbs Reids Fine Food and Salted Melon), from recruiting, insurance and payroll to training staff and evaluating their performance.

Responsibilites include managing payroll, hiring staff and maintaining employee records including contracts and work permits. To be sucessful in this role, you should have a minimum of five years experience in senior HR position, preferably in the hospitality industry, and be familiar with labor legislation, particularly regarding flexible working hours.

Ultimately, you will ensure our employees are engaged, well-trained and productive so they will provide excellent customer service.

Summary of Key Responsibilities
* Keep a consistant pulse on emerging HR issues by mantaining consistant interaction with managers and staff members.
* Assist in internal employee questions, concerns and investigations.
* Act as a strategic business partner with all leadership. Assist with coaching and counseling issues such as employment policies, procedures and recruitment need.
* Assist in New Manager Orientation trraining programs helping to train and communicate al HR standard with new leaders
* Assist the team in recruitment by writing all management offer letters.
* Assist in recruiting for job openings, new hire orientations and new hire onboarding.
* Track all new hire background checks and report results within three days.
* Assist in maintaining an updated employee handbook and assist in the creation of editing HR Policies.
* Assist in overseeing Insurance Benefits and payroll and the annual open enrollment process.
* Conduct regional wage surveys when needed.
* Retain historical HR records by filing and keeping pas and current records.
* Assist in tracking Food Manager Safe Serve requirements and TIPS alcohol requirements.
* Process and track all workers compensation claims for restaurant employees.
* Process all unemployment claims for restaurant and attend all unemployment hearings as needed. Prepare documents and all paperwork required for the claims process.
* Participate in store management meetings.
* Work with the Training Director to build OSHA Training, leadership training and other relevant HR training as needed.
* Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment law.

A sucessful Human Resource Director is exceptionally organized and detail oriented, with the ability to tackle both the small details and bigger picture items. You will complete multiple task daily, assist in HR investigations, handle last minute needs often: all while communicating well with all audience levels.

At the heart of it, you are in HR for your love of people and wanting to ensure they have a great place to work. You also thrive under the pressure of working in the hospitality industry, knowing that no day is ever the same, which is what makes it exciting and never boring.
