Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts, drive revenue growth and cultivate strategic relationships for our properties in Woodstock, VT, and Killington, VT. The properties have not had a strategic sales effort in the past, so the ideal candidate must be a self-starter capable of creating necessary materials and cultivating relationships from the ground up. This role involves managing key accounts, devising comprehensive sales strategies, and representing our brand with professionalism and expertise. The ideal candidate has previous experience in hotel sales, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering unparalleled customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets for both properties.
  • Assist with the creation and development of sales materials and resources from scratch to support strategic initiatives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and markets to increase occupancy and revenue.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies accordingly.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, corporate accounts, and local businesses.
  • Foster strong relationships with local community organizations and tourism boards to promote the properties.
  • Represent the properties at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
  • Be on-site for key corporate events to maintain the relationship

Operational Oversight:

  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless guest experiences and high standards of service.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with the leadership team to develop effective promotional materials and campaigns.

Budget & Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage the sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-effective measures to maximize profitability.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.

Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an account base for both properties.
  • Partner with hotel leadership teams to achieve budget expectations
  • Work with local government to ensure permitting for events is approved, fully understanding and executing on that process.
  • Build relationships with competitive set, understanding market offerings and strategies to capture market share in the group segment.
  • Oversee efforts to prospect and uncover local venues driving "rooms only" business, and develop promotions/referral programs.
  • Host local events at the properties for admins, third parties, and decision-makers.
  • Respond promptly to all inquiries from clients, prospects, and lead referrals.
  • Respond promptly to requests by Leadership for reports and other assignments.
  • Achieve sales and revenue goals as specified in the goal-setting process.
  • Develop working relationships with hotel department heads and operational areas.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports of sales calls and marketing actions.
  • Respect guidelines of confidentiality and code of ethics in all company areas.
  • Promote and apply teamwork skills at all times.
  • Be polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and fellow team members.
  • Remain current with property information and changes.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of sales manager experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Proficient knowledge of various computer software applications (CRM, POS, MS Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Ability to work onsite in Woodstock, VT, and regularly travel to Killington, VT, with remote work possible for highly qualified candidates.
  • Flexible schedule required based on client needs.
  • Familiarity with the Woodstock and Killington markets is a plus.
