JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role entails a comprehensive range of account management functions aimed at cultivating, enhancing, and servicing production facilities in Minnesota. The account portfolio possesses considerable competitive potential across various sectors within the precision and rough grinding industries, alongside overseeing Lawson Products, a prominent national MRO distributor. This territory is abundant with opportunities. Collaboration with our distributor partners is essential and must be a primary focus for success in this region. This includes strategic planning, joint sales engagements, and hands-on training initiatives. The territory accounts can be demanding, necessitating strategic, focused planning and execution. The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable engaging with a machine operator to test an abrasive product as they are presenting a growth strategy to a large multinational corporation or a company president.
This territory generates over $3 million in annual sales and encompasses significant end-users such as Round Ground Metals, Banner Services, Rexnord, and Primedge. The District 82 Sales Manager and the Midwest Area management team are dedicated to personal development, assisting our sales professionals in achieving success within their territory and advancing their careers. **Is this job for you?**COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Prospective candidates should possess 3-5 years of sales experience. This territory demands proficiency in managing distribution channels. All national distributors and several large regional distributors are well established in this area. The major end-users utilize abrasive products across our extensive product range, including rough, precision, coated, super abrasives, thin wheel, and potential opportunities in system components. This territory presents a dynamic environment where each day brings new challenges, making the ability to prioritize, adapt, and excel essential traits we seek. Minnesota offers a wealth of entertainment options, including professional sports teams and numerous NCAA events. Outdoor engagement skills are crucial, as our customers enjoy various activities such as fishing, hunting, golfing, boating, skiing, and more. The ideal candidate will be someone eager to tackle a large industrial territory and ready to take the next step in their career with aspirations of increased responsibility.
