Summary:

Coordinate, administer and maintain human resource activities and programs. Assist with implementing corporate policies and procedures. Help run daily functions of Human Resource department including full cycle recruiting, enforcing company policies and practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each of the primary duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

1. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

2. Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding, including coordinating with other departments.

3. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

4. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.

5. Organizes and researches training and development efforts for all departments.

6. Makes recommendations to ensure company is compliant with state and federal regulations.

7. Conducts annual salary analysis for all positions.

8. Coordinates annual performance review process including goal tracking.

8. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

10. Other duties, as assigned.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Planning for all internal company events.
  2. Maintain physical and digital files.
  3. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Qualifications / Education / Skills and Experience:

  1. This position requires a bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years of experience or five (5) years of related experience in human resources positions.
  2. Must have working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and Access.
  3. Problem – solving skills and resourceful thinking.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  5. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  6. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position requires sitting for extended periods of time. Occasionally requires standing, squatting, reaching, and bending. Requires the ability to receive information through oral communication both in-person and on the phone. Manual dexterity is needed for using the computer keyboard. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Must have adequate vision to operate computer and complete paperwork.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as an assigned workstation, computer, phone, copier, and file cabinet.
