Strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist is essential in collaborating with various departments to streamline the hiring process. This role encompasses advising on sourcing strategies, supporting leadership in search initiatives, and overseeing recruitment staff. The successful candidate will drive recruitment strategies, assess program effectiveness, and provide training to hiring managers. The ideal applicant possesses strategic thinking abilities, a mindset geared towards process enhancement, leadership experience, and excellent communication skills.
Work Environment
This position is conducted in a climate-controlled office environment, which may involve prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and using a computer mouse. The role requires standing for varying durations and walking moderate distances. Occasional physical activities such as bending, reaching, lifting, and pushing/pulling items up to 25 pounds may be necessary. Regular tasks necessitate the ability to swiftly adjust priorities, including resolving conflicts, and require clear verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of professional experience in human resources; or eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.

- Workday HRIS Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing the Workday HRIS system for managing recruitment and employee data.
- Innovative Problem Solving: Ability to creatively develop and implement recruitment processes and strategies.
- Recruitment Knowledge: Extensive background in recruitment or human resources, with a strong grasp of screening, interviewing, and hiring methodologies.
- Employment Law Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of employment law standards, including EEO, Department of Labor regulations, and Affirmative Action requirements.
- Customer Service Expertise: Familiarity with delivering outstanding customer service in recruitment contexts.
- Confidentiality Standards: Knowledge of methods to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Effective Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, complemented by effective listening skills.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Capacity to work effectively within a team, adapt to changing priorities, and manage frequent interruptions.
- Sourcing Proficiency: Experienced in utilizing LinkedIn, job boards, social networks, and other platforms to identify high-quality candidates.
- Staffing Agency Experience: Background in full life-cycle recruiting within a staffing agency setting.
- ASU Experience: Familiarity with human resources recruitment roles at ASU.
- Training Experience: Proven ability to train large groups in recruitment practices.
