JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Generalist will support a variety of human resources functions and initiatives. This includes employee relations, payroll, benefits, leave administration, performance management, and compensation. The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide variety of HR functions and be able to quickly support a fast growing company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support strategic HR initiatives and HR analytics in conjunction with the HR Director.
- Advises management on appropriate resolution of employee relations and performance issues.
- Designs recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates.
- Provides coverage for any absences in the HR department.
- Assist with employee benefits administration and open enrollment.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
- Conducts exit interviews.
- Manages FMLA, leaves of absence, and ADA.
- Manage worker’s compensation cases and coordinates return to work arrangements.
- Oversees submission of the bi-weekly payroll.
- Serves as administrator for the employer sponsored 401k plan.
- Assists with HR related company initiatives and process improvement.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist with annual compensation planning and budgeting.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least three years of human resource experience required.
- Experience in ADP and payroll processing highly preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
