We are hiring a Human Resources Generalist to join our Metro and Metro West team

Location: Fridley, MN

Hours of Position: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm

Compensation: $ 21.00-$23.00

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist serves as a liaison between employees and management. Their responsibilities encompass enhancing organizational effectiveness and development, strategic planning, performance management, employee relations, policy and procedure implementation, HR compliance, unemployment claims, workers' compensation, and ensuring employee safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducts an annual review and administration of wage and salary increases.

Coordinates all aspects of employee relations including reviews, corrective action plans, investigations, terminations, exit interviews, and employee recognition.

Ensures that any employee complaints or disputes are addressed and managed appropriately.

Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

Serves as EEO specialist to include timely filing of reports.

Responsible for oversight with all workers compensation claims

Monitors unemployment claims and appeals.

Assures Data Privacy and HIPAA regulations are followed agency wide

Assist with developing and distributing employee communications such as policies, employee handbook, newsletter, memos, etc.

Administers classification programs, including classifying and reclassifying positions, and writing job descriptions.

Assists with safety committee meetings

Assures compliance with OSHA regulations and reporting procedures.

Always maintain confidentiality.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, or another related field.

Knowledge and understanding of current state and federal employment law.

Competent with various software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks.

General knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration, ability to develop long-term plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments, effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to pass MVR check, maintain a valid driver's license and insurance and a state background check clearance.
