Human Resource Generalist - Payroll / Benefits (Direct Hire)

Our Opportunity

The Human Resources Generalist will provide hands-on support including payroll, benefit administration, employee relations, unemployment, compensation and safety. In addition, this position will assist on corporate-wide projects and assignments.

Key Duties Include

  • Supports payroll-related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, termination status changes, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposit.
  • Oversees maintenance of payroll records and files.
  • Responds to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions and accruals, wage garnishments, child support payments, and employment verifications.
  • Coordinates employee benefit programs.
  • Prepares and maintains human resources and employee benefits data and reports.
  • Assists with general office administration, duties and projects as required.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience in an HRIS/Payroll system. Paylocity is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to convey confidence, empathy and trust via candor and diplomacy to build effective relationships across all levels.
  • Prefer experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
