Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for management of facility maintenance and projects for California and Washington dealerships. Responsible for assisting in the budgeting, organization, scheduling, and implementation of the projects. Work closely with the Executive Management Team in the completion of construction and maintenance activities.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with identifying potential maintenance and construction needs
  • Perform a leadership and management role in the oversight and direction of projects from conception to completion.
  • Inspect each project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs and clearly communicate required time, money, and other resources needed to complete projects.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite maintenance and construction projects to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate, direct and manage maintenance staff and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate contractor bids.
  • Requires ability to respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Maintain contractual conditions of performance.
  • Review all work progress on a daily basis.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of internal and external reports pertaining to job status, as required.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements and take a leadership role as needed in obtaining permits and licenses.
  • Ability to analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Interacts with contractors or construction team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
  • Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
  • Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
  • Maintain a safe work environment on lots for customers and employees.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by Executive Team members, as needed.
  • Responsible for hiring and managing maintenance staff for the Dealership.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Hire and manage maintenance staff for the dealerships.
  • Must have experience in the following: managing projects, managing teams, permitting and municipalities, managing subs and vendors.
  • Must be hands on and willing to pitch in when needed.
  • 25% out-of-state travel required.

Pay: $90k- 185k/ year
