Job Summary: The Engineering Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top engineering talent for the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering disciplines, including software, mechanical, electrical, civil, and other specialized engineering fields. The Engineering Recruiter works closely with hiring managers and technical teams to develop and execute recruitment strategies that align with the organization's goals and ensure a steady pipeline of qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-End Recruitment:

    • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for engineering positions, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
    • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for roles such as software engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, civil engineers, and other specialized engineering positions.
    • Conduct initial screenings and technical interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  2. Collaboration with Hiring Managers:

    • Partner with engineering hiring managers to understand the specific requirements of each role, including technical skills, experience, and team fit.
    • Provide guidance on best practices for interviewing and candidate selection within the engineering field.
    • Regularly update hiring managers on the progress of open positions and provide insights on the candidate market.
  3. Candidate Experience:

    • Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear and timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
    • Provide candidates with detailed information about the company, its engineering projects, and the specific role they are applying for.
    • Manage the offer process, including salary negotiation, and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
  4. Market Research and Insights:

    • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, salary benchmarks, and the availability of engineering talent.
    • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to hiring managers and HR leadership to help inform recruitment strategies.
    • Stay updated on the latest engineering tools, technologies, and industry best practices to enhance recruitment efforts.
  5. Employer Branding:

    • Collaborate with the HR and marketing teams to promote the company's employer brand within the engineering community.
    • Represent the company at industry events, job fairs, and networking functions to attract top engineering talent.
    • Create and share content that highlights the company's culture, values, and career opportunities in engineering on various platforms.
  6. Data and Reporting:

    • Track and analyze key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire, to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
    • Prepare reports and presentations on recruitment activities, candidate pipelines, and hiring outcomes for HR leadership and business stakeholders.
    • Use data-driven insights to continuously improve recruitment processes and decision-making.
  7. Compliance and Record Keeping:

    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
    • Assist in preparing compliance reports, such as EEO-1 and other regulatory filings, as required.
  8. Continuous Improvement:

    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve recruitment processes, leveraging feedback from hiring managers and candidates.
    • Participate in professional development and training to enhance recruitment skills and knowledge specific to the engineering industry.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of new recruitment strategies and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in recruitment, with a focus on engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines, including software, mechanical, electrical, civil, and other specialized fields.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective recruitment strategies for engineering positions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
