Key Responsibilities:- Project Management: Manage construction projects with competing timelines, ensuring timely completion within budget and at a level of quality that meets or exceeds our standards.
- Resource Allocation: Determine the resources needed to create, manage, and fulfill project budgets within approved limits.
- Estimating and Budgeting: Job cost estimating, budget creation, forecasting, and close-out.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate and manage general contractors and third-party vendor partners.
- Negotiation and Contract Review: Negotiate terms of agreements and review bids and contracts.
- Value Engineering: Apply value engineering principles to increase facility value.
- Equipment Procurement: Order equipment and work with internal support teams to meet delivery deadlines.
- Progress Reporting: Report project progress on a weekly (and sometimes daily) basis.
- Issue Resolution: Avoid issues through proper planning; resolve issues when they emerge.
- Project Analysis: Track and analyze project flow and outcomes to prepare future reports and identify improvements to our best practices.
- Communication and Teamwork: Remain calm under pressure, act decisively, maintain flexibility, and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management.
- Ability to travel roughly 50%.
- Skilled at reading blueprints/schematics; knowledgeable about current building codes.
- Must be able to perform miscellaneous construction tasks (e.g., pull wire, stage, and install equipment, etc.).
- Work and collaborate remotely with limited direct supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software packages.
- Excellent writing, communication, project management, and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Car wash experience is a plus.
