Job Summary: The Manufacturing Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for various roles within the manufacturing sector. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, industry trends, and the specific skill sets needed for positions such as production operators, maintenance technicians, quality control specialists, and engineering roles. The Manufacturing Recruiter works closely with hiring managers and HR teams to develop and execute recruitment strategies that align with the organization's production goals and workforce needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-End Recruitment:

    • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for manufacturing positions, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
    • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for roles such as production operators, maintenance technicians, quality control inspectors, engineers, and other manufacturing staff.
    • Conduct initial screenings and technical interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and fit for manufacturing environments.
  2. Collaboration with Hiring Managers:

    • Partner with manufacturing hiring managers to understand the specific requirements of each role, including technical skills, certifications, and experience with machinery or production processes.
    • Provide guidance on best practices for interviewing and candidate selection within the manufacturing industry.
    • Regularly update hiring managers on the progress of open positions and provide insights on the candidate market.
  3. Candidate Experience:

    • Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear and timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
    • Provide candidates with detailed information about the company, its manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and the specific role they are applying for.
    • Manage the offer process, including salary negotiation, and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
  4. Industry-Specific Recruitment:

    • Source candidates who have specific experience in manufacturing settings, including knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures.
    • Leverage industry-specific networks, job boards, and trade associations to identify potential candidates.
    • Promote the company's commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in candidate outreach and engagement.
  5. Market Research and Insights:

    • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, salary benchmarks, and the availability of manufacturing talent.
    • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to hiring managers and HR leadership to help inform recruitment strategies.
    • Stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance recruitment efforts.
  6. Employer Branding:

    • Collaborate with the HR and marketing teams to promote the company's employer brand within the manufacturing community.
    • Represent the company at industry events, job fairs, and networking functions to attract top manufacturing talent.
    • Create and share content that highlights the company's culture, values, and career opportunities in manufacturing on various platforms.
  7. Data and Reporting:

    • Track and analyze key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire, to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
    • Prepare reports and presentations on recruitment activities, candidate pipelines, and hiring outcomes for HR leadership and business stakeholders.
    • Use data-driven insights to continuously improve recruitment processes and decision-making.
  8. Compliance and Record Keeping:

    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
    • Assist in preparing compliance reports, such as EEO-1 and other regulatory filings, as required.
  9. Continuous Improvement:

    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve recruitment processes, leveraging feedback from hiring managers and candidates.
    • Participate in professional development and training to enhance recruitment skills and knowledge specific to the manufacturing industry.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of new recruitment strategies and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in recruitment, with a focus on manufacturing roles.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective recruitment strategies for manufacturing positions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
