HR Generalist

HR administrative assistant who has 3+ years of experience in supporting HR processes in employee relations. The HR department seeks support for our Cybersecurity division and working closely with their management team to provide positive employee relations. This is a contract position with a possibility of extension.
- Administrative tasks including but not limited to collecting, organizing, preparing internal paperwork for hiring, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Interpreting and communicating company policies to members (full-time, interns, and temporary)
- Conduct timely internal research on various employee concerns such as wage concerns, work environment, communication, and various conflict resolutions.
- Handle exit interviews which includes, coordinating the meeting, taking notes, preparing final report and handling sensitive matters with discretion.
- Be the first point of contact for any grievances and hold an intake-call by collecting all information and taking notes for HR management.
- Coach management and employees on policy, conflict resolution, and change management to promote a fair and equitable work environment.
- Facilitate and administer leave of absences including but not limited to maternity and paternity leave, short-term disability, and FMLA.
- Maintain positive employee relationships by coordinating, supporting, and hosting team events.
- Perform other job duties as directed by HR management and Cybersecurity division management.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or the like
3 years' experience in Human Resources Department and/or a part of an Employee Relations team
Experienced in investigating and administering leaves of absences
Knowledge of short-term disability, long-term disability, FMLA
Knowledgeable of labor laws and regulations
Experienced in ensuring all employees and management adhere to all company policies including paid time off policies.
Able to understand company's stance.
Able to handle confidential and detailed work.
Excellent written, oral, presentation communication skills.
Fair and consistent thought-process to handle and resolve complex Employee Relations and Human Resource issues.
Problem solving skills, critical thinking.
Documentation skills.
